FaithWall

AN INVITATION TO BEGIN

A little more Scripture.
A little less scrolling.

You’re invited to try FaithWall. Make room for reading, prayer, and a daily habit that matters to you.

Let’s get you set up

Open this page on the iPhone you’ll use.

THREE SIMPLE STEPS

Start on your iPhone.

Have these ready

An iPhone with iOS 16 or later, an internet connection, and your Apple Account for the App Store. Keep your phone unlocked for setup. To check iOS, open Settings → General → About. If Apple asks for approval or an update, follow its prompts.

Your checklist: 0 of 3 steps checked.

  1. Get TestFlight

TestFlight is Apple’s free app for trying apps before their public release. Tap the button below, then Get (or the download symbol) in the App Store. Approve the download if Apple asks.

    Get TestFlight

Already installed? Skip the download. Return to this page in Safari or the text where you opened it, then continue to step 2.

  2. Install FaithWall

Tap the invitation below. If asked, open it in TestFlight and tap Accept, then Install. Already have FaithWall? Look for Update. When it finishes, tap Open.

    Open FaithWall invitation

The buttons can vary. TestFlight shows the build available to you. If a new build isn’t available yet, check back in TestFlight. Return here whenever you need the next step.

  3. Choose your setup

Whose phone are you setting up?

    Your own daily habit

    1. In FaithWall’s setup, choose “My own phone”. Complete your own Apple sign-in if prompted.
    2. Open Settings → Daily reading goal and choose a goal that works for you.
    3. For optional app blocking, find Screen Time on this phone. Tap Allow Screen Time Access and approve Apple’s request yourself.
    4. Tap Choose Apps. Start with one distracting app, rather than a whole category. Save your selection, then turn on Daily app blocking.
    5. Check that only the app you chose is blocked. Turn blocking off once to check it restores access, then choose whether to leave it on.

This is your own choice. You manage your apps and can turn blocking off or revoke Screen Time access. Choosing this path does not put your phone under someone else’s parental controls.

Join the family already set up

    1. The first parent opens Share parenting → Invite a second parent in FaithWall and gives you the private invitation code.
    2. On your phone, choose “I’m a parent” and sign in with your own Apple Account.
    3. Find “Joining your spouse’s family?”. Enter the invitation code and tap Join their family. Don’t add a new child or create another family for this step.
    4. If you accidentally created an empty family, enter the invitation and choose Switch to spouse’s family. Review the confirmation before removing that empty setup. This option only applies to an empty family.
    5. Show the confirmation code to the first parent. They confirm your access on their phone; you tap Check for their confirmation.

Keep parenting invitation codes private. The public link below only helps people install FaithWall.

Connect with a parent beside you

    1. The child’s Apple Account must be recognized by Apple as a child or teen in the parent’s Family Sharing group. This is different from an adult choosing “My own phone.”
    2. On the parent’s iPhone, open FaithWall → “I’m a parent”, sign in, then tap Add a child’s iPhone.
    3. On the child’s iPhone, open Camera and scan the QR code on the parent’s screen. Tap the link to open the private setup page. If installation is needed, install through TestFlight, then return to that private page or scan again.
    4. On the private page, tap Open FaithWall. Review the child’s setup in the app. Tap Set up as a child’s iPhone (or Use code in child setup if already set up), then Connect this iPhone. The parent confirms the displayed code on their own phone.
    5. On the child’s phone, tap Ask parent to approve Screen Time and complete Apple’s guardian approval together.
    6. The parent opens that child’s phone in FaithWall, chooses one test app and a reading goal, and sends the settings. Keep both phones open to check the result together.

If Open FaithWall doesn’t open the app, open FaithWall yourself and use Scan parent’s QR code in the child setup, or enter the full code shown below the QR. Family controls are in testing; the public installation link does not connect a child or grant parenting access.

These checks are your own notes. This page cannot verify installation, permissions, or app blocking.

A quick note before you start

Keep your iPhone unlocked and connected to the internet during setup. If Apple asks for Face ID, your Apple Account password, or a parent’s approval, follow the prompts on the phone.

FaithWall is a beta, so you may run into rough edges. You can send feedback from TestFlight.

The invitation won’t open. What now?

Confirm TestFlight is installed. Return to the text invitation and open this page in Safari, then tap Open FaithWall invitation again. If TestFlight says there is no available build, wait for the next build to become available. You don’t need a Mac or a cable to install through TestFlight.

BETTER WITH SOMEONE YOU KNOW

Invite a friend.

Send them this page so they have all three steps.

Using Android? Open FaithWall on the web for reading. This iPhone invitation doesn’t install Android parental controls.
